- Dosage: 1 to 2 tablet daily one to two times after meals.
Which is the best time to Take Triphala churna ?
As we know Triphala churna has lots of benefits and is used in managing so many health problems. Therefore the time and dose will depend upon the disease for which you are using Triphala.
However the best time to take Triphala churna is at night before going to bed.
Is Triphala Churna good for daily use ?
Yes ,Triphala churna is can be consumed daily for 3 to 4 months at a strech. However if you wish to take it for longer period than give a gap for few days and then restart it. Taking it in this ways is more beneficial.
Can i take Triphala churna with milk ?
No, it is not advisable to take triphala churna with milk and it contain Amla churna. Amla churna is sour in taste. Sour taste and milk are contra indicated in Ayurveda as it becomes incompatible for use.
Is Triphala cooling or heating ?
In Ayurveda Triphala is considered as Samshitushna means it is neighter cold nor hot. That is why it helps inbalancing both the Kapha and Pitta dosha.
Home Remedies of Triphala churna
For Eye’s : Take a spoonful of coarse Triphala powder. Soak it in a bowl of clean, filtered water and allow it to stand overnight. In the morning strain the water using a muslin cloth or fine strainer and use this solution for an eyewash.
Rinse the eyes by blinking about 20 times into this Triphala solution using an eyecup filled to the muscles and surrounding tissue.
In constipation: Take Triphala powder 1 teaspoon and pinch of rock salt to it. Consume this mixture at night before going to bed with honey or luke warm water will help in smooth elimination of waste.
For Oral care : Prepare Triphala mouth wash by boiling 50 grams of coarse Triphala powder in 500 ml of water and reducing it to half of its quantity. Filter this water and keep it in a clean ,sterlized bottle. Use 10 to 20 ml of this water to gargle twice daily.
For Wound healing : Make decoction of Triphala fruits Wash the wound with this decoction helps in faster healing of wound.
Does Triphala have side effects
While Triphala is generally considered safe because it is made from fruits of a tree and has potential health benefits. However it may cause side effects in some people.
For example, due to its natural laxative effects, it may cause diarrhea and abdominal discomfort, especially in high doses.
Triphala is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women and should not be administered to children.
Indian gooseberry, one of the main components of Triphala, may increase the risk of bleeding and bruising in certain people and may not be safe for those with bleeding disorders.

Take a iron vessel and coat the inner side with paste of Triphala churna and keep in overnight to get dry. Then scarp the churna and collect in jar.
