Adulsa, commonly called as Vasa in Ayurveda is popular medicinal plant used in treating respiratory diseases like bronchitis, asthma, and excess mucous condition. This plant is famous all over the India. It has got powerful action of bronco dilatation. This ayurvedic medicine for cough has antimicrobial, anti- inflammatory and anti tissue properties.

Adulsa Ayurvedic medicine for cough and its Varieties

  • Shweta( White): Leaves of this varieties are green in color with small white spots on it; the flowers are white in color.
  • Krishna (black): Leaves of this varieties are green in color with no white spots on it, the flowers are white in color. This variety of Adulsa is more hot than compared to white.

Effect on Tridoshas:  Adulsa balances Kapha-Pitta dosha.

Home Remedies of Adulsa

Juice of leaves of adulsa mix it with honey . It is very useful in  chronic cough and bronchitis.

Juice of leaves of adulsa turmeric add gomutra to it apply it on the part having ithching. This relieves itching instantly because of its antibacterial property.

Taking decoction of Adulsa is very useful in urine obstruction. It helps in smooth flow of urine.

The paste, powder and the root decoction of Adoolsa also helps reduce fever by lowering body temperature due to its antipyretic property.
