  • Jamun powder:  1-2  teaspoon two times daily . It is also used externally for local application.
  • Jamun Capsule : 1 to 2 capsule two times daily with water.
  • Part Used :  Fruits, seed, stem bark

What are the side effects of Jamun

 Like any other Ayurvedic herb jamun is having many health benefits . However , it may have some side effects as well They include

Allergic Rashes

If someone is sensitive to jamun they may see skin rashes or redness and itching. In this condition it is advisable to discontinue the use .

Also it increases vata dosha so use with caution in Vata parakriti people.

Precautions

During breast feeding avoid consuming Jamun.

Avoid consuming jamun during pregnancy due to lack of research on safety during pregnancy.

Always use jamun in recommended dosage  to avoid potential side effects such as nausea and bloating. It is better to ask Ayurveda doctor about dose and suitability for your body type.

Home Remedies of Jamun

Diarrhea and dysentry

To make this you will following ingredients:

  • Jamun bark  powder – 1 tsp

  • Milk– 1 cup

  • Honey– 1 teaspoon

How to make :
First add jamun bark powder in 0ne cup of milk and stir, now add honey into it. Drink this two times a day.

It helps to manage diarrhea and dysentry

Decoction ( Kadha) for oral health

To make this you need following ingredients:

  • Jamun powder – 1 tsp

  • Bakul powder – 1 tsp

  • Water  –   4 cups

How to make the decoction:
Add both jamun and bakul powder in 4 cup of water and boil it. Keep boiling still it is reduced to 1 cup. Now filter this and do gargle with this kadha.

This remedy helps to strengthen the gums and helps to fight all the disease of teeth and gums.

In blood sugar management

To make the  you need following ingredients:

  • Jamun seed powder –  2 gms

  • Water –  1 cup

How to use:
Take jamun seed powder and mix it in one cup of water and stir well. Drink this water before meals twice daily.

This helps to reduce excess sugar in the blood there by help you fight diabetes.

Yes. This herb does not react with homeopathic medicine.

2.Can this herb/medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin, omega 3, spirulina ?

3. With western/modern medicine
